1. INTRODUCTION

D-comp is a creative dynamics and tone shaping plugin designed for modern music production. It combines compression-style control, saturation, filtering, and spatial effects in one compact processor.

The plugin can be used on individual tracks such as vocals, drums, bass, synthesizers, guitars, and also on buses or experimental sound design chains.

D-comp is designed to encourage experimentation and creative processing rather than strict technical compression.

3. CONTROLS

GAIN

Controls the output level of the plugin. Use this to match the processed signal level with the original signal or to boost the final output.

---

THRESH

Sets the threshold level where the dynamic processing begins. Lower values will cause the processor to react more aggressively to incoming signals.

---

DRIVE

Adds harmonic saturation and distortion to the signal. This can add warmth, grit, or aggressive character depending on the amount applied.

---

LOW PASS

Reduces high frequencies above the selected cutoff point. Useful for softening harsh sounds or creating darker tones.

---

HIGH PASS

Removes low frequencies below the selected cutoff point. This helps clean up rumble and unnecessary low-end energy.

---

REVERB

Adds spatial ambience to the signal, placing the sound in a virtual acoustic space.

---

DELAY

Introduces echo repetitions of the signal for rhythmic or atmospheric effects.

---

BYPASS

Temporarily disables the processing of the plugin so you can compare the processed signal with the original.

---

SURPRISE

D-comp contains a hidden creative element designed to add unexpected character to the sound. The purpose of this control is left intentionally open to exploration.

Experiment and discover how it shapes the sound.
